1.At a glance
SimpleStart here
VENGEANCE RGB RS DDR5 is Corsair’s more affordable RGB desktop DDR5. It uses six LEDs per module instead of the ten on VENGEANCE RGB DDR5, and its kits run from 5,200 to 6,000MT/s 12.
Deep diveThe technical detail
Corsair says the line was “created from the ground up” to offer its usual performance and looks “but at a more affordable price point” 1. Its US store lists eight RS kits, all 32GB or 64GB, at 5200, 5600 or 6000MT/s 3. Corsair’s two RS articles both carry “Last updated: January 29, 2026”, and neither gives a launch date 12; no Corsair press release for the line was found for this guide.
2.Launch and lineup
SimpleStart here
Corsair says it built RS to be cheaper than VENGEANCE RGB DDR5, partly by using fewer LEDs and a refined heatsink 1.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The explainer says RS “uses fewer LEDs than the original non-RS version, coming in at six LEDs per DIMM instead of ten, and the heatsink has been refined as well” 1. The comparison article says the main difference is speed, with RS “aimed at the more affordable end of the pricing spectrum” and VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 “offering the faster, more premium speeds” 2. The explainer says RS “is available immediately” without giving a date 1.
3.What’s inside the module
SimpleStart here
Each module has six RGB LEDs under a panoramic light bar and an aluminum heat spreader 24.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The comparison table lists LEDs as 6 for RS and 10 for VENGEANCE RGB DDR5, and the article says the difference “can be hard to spot” because both lines use panoramic lightbars 2. The product pages describe “Dynamic Multi-Zone RGB LEDs, diffused through a panoramic lightbar”, give no LED count, and list Heat Spreader Aluminum and PMIC Type “Overclock PMIC” 5674. No module height appears on the product pages or in either article 567412.

The kits checked are 32GB (2x16GB), tested at 5200 or 6000MT/s, CL36 to CL40, 1.25V or 1.35V, with SPD voltage 1.1V 5674.

All four list a capacity of 32GB (2 x 16GB), labelled Memory Size or, on the pink page, Capacity, with SPD Voltage 1.1V, SPD Latency 40 and Package Memory Format UDIMM 5674. The comparison table gives RS a tested CAS latency range of 36–40 2.
5.Where it’s made
SimpleStart here
None of the Corsair sources checked names the DRAM chip maker 125674.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The explainer says the kits use “tightly screened memory ICs picked for their reliability and tuning headroom” and “custom high-performance PCBs”, without naming the chip maker 1. The product pages checked name no maker either 5674.
6.What it’s compatible with
SimpleStart here
RS supports both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP, and Corsair lists AMD 600 and 800 series and Intel 700 and 800 series boards; the product pages also add Intel 600 series 14.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The explainer says RS supports “Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles” and that “AMD 600 and 800 series offerings as well as Intel 700 and 800 series boards” are natively supported 1. Each product page checked lists Performance Profile “AMD EXPO & Intel XMP” and Memory Compatibility “AMD 600 Series,AMD 800 Series,Intel 600 Series,Intel 700 Series,Intel 800 Series” 5674. The same pages also say “Optimized for the latest generation of DDR5 compatible INTEL® motherboards” 5674. The explainer and the comparison article say RS lighting can be controlled with ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light and GIGABYTE RGB Fusion as well as iCUE 12.
7.Official pricing
SimpleStart here
Corsair calls RS its more affordable RGB line but neither article gives a price 12.
Deep diveThe technical detail
When checked in October 2026, the US store list showed $570.99 for both the pink and green 32GB CL38 kits and no price for the six grey kits 3. The green kit’s own page showed $484.99, marked down from $570.99 5. Some grey kit pages carry price data in the thousands, which this guide treats as unreliable and does not report. These are point-in-time store figures.
9.Where this family sits in the lineup
SimpleStart here
RS sits below VENGEANCE RGB DDR5, which Corsair says remains the choice for faster speeds and bigger kits 2.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The comparison table gives RS 32–64GB and 5,200–6,000MT/s, against 16–128GB and 5,200–8,200MT/s for VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 2. The article says buyers wanting more than 64GB, or four-module 4x16GB kits, should choose the original VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 2. The RS name is older than DDR5: on 2 September 2021 Corsair announced VENGEANCE RGB RS as a DDR4 line, up to 3,600MHz and 128GB kits, with Intel XMP 2.0 8. None of the Corsair sources checked names a successor 12.
10.Hidden in plain sight
SimpleStart here
Corsair’s comparison article says 16GB (2x8GB) RS kits were “due a little later”, but its US store lists only 32GB and 64GB RS kits 23.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The comparison article says RS “launches at two capacities, 32GB (2x 16GB) and 64GB (2x 32GB) with 16GB (2x 8GB) kits due a little later” 2. The article carries “Last updated: January 29, 2026” and still says this 2. In October 2026 the US store’s RS filter shows eight kits: five at 32GB and three at 64GB, none at 16GB 3. The same list titles the green CL38 kit “32GB (2 x 32GB)”, and its URL says 2-x-32gb, while the kit’s own page title and Memory Size read 32GB (2 x 16GB) 35. The comparison article also says RS “is only available in gray right now”, while the store sells pink and green RS kits 265. Corsair does not say whether the 16GB kits were dropped or are sold elsewhere 23.
