1.At a glance
SimpleStart here
ValueRAM DDR5 is Kingston’s standard DDR5 memory, sold in plain modules for desktops and laptops. Kingston’s memory hub lists four DDR5 ValueRAM product pages: 5600MT/s DIMM and SODIMM, and 6400MT/s clocked DIMM and SODIMM 1.
Deep diveThe technical detail
Each product page describes its line as “memory for your laptop or desktop PC” and shows a part-number table 2345. The two 6400MT/s pages are headed “Non-ECC Clocked Unbuffered” 45. This guide found no Kingston press release announcing the current 5600MT/s or 6400MT/s ValueRAM DDR5 pages, so it gives no launch date for them 1.
2.Launch and lineup
SimpleStart here
No Kingston launch announcement for the current ValueRAM DDR5 pages turned up 1. Kingston’s datasheets carry dates: the 5600MT/s 16GB DIMM sheet is dated 10/25/22 and the 6400MT/s 16GB CUDIMM sheet 12/16/24 67.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The 5600MT/s datasheet reads “Document No. VALUERAM1673A 10/25/22”, and the 6400MT/s sheet “Document No. VALUERAM1716A 12/16/24” with “Rev. A” 67. A datasheet date is not a release date: it can only show the product existed by then, and each sheet is one sample part 67.
3.What’s inside the module
SimpleStart here
The sampled DIMM datasheets list a 288-pin DIMM with a 31.25mm tall PCB 67. The SODIMM parts have their own datasheets, which this guide did not use for height.
Deep diveThe technical detail
Both sheets say “PCB: Height 1.23” (31.25mm) and that each 288-pin DIMM uses gold contact fingers 67. The “MODULE DIMENSIONS” heading carries no diagram or values in the text read for this guide 6. Neither sheet mentions a heat spreader or lighting 67.
4.Full spec table

The sampled 16GB parts run at 1.1V: DDR5-5600 timing 46-45-45 (CL46) and DDR5-6400 timing 52-52-52 (CL52). DIMM modules go up to 64GB and SODIMMs up to 48GB 6723.

| Product page | Capacities listed | Sampled datasheet |
|---|
| 5600MT/s Non-ECC Unbuffered DIMM | 8, 16, 32 (two parts), 48, 64GB 2 | KVR56U46BS8-16: CL46, 46-45-45 at 1.1V, 1Rx8 6 |
|---|
| 5600MT/s Non-ECC Unbuffered SODIMM | 8, 16, 32 (two parts), 48GB 3 | Not opened for this guide |
|---|
| 6400MT/s Non-ECC Clocked Unbuffered DIMM | 8, 16, 32 (two parts), 64GB 4 | KVR64A52BS8-16: CL52, 52-52-52 at 1.1V, 1Rx8, one clock driver 7 |
|---|
| 6400MT/s Non-ECC Clocked Unbuffered SODIMM | 8, 16, 32 (two parts) GB 5 | Not opened for this guide |

Both sampled sheets list operating temperature 0°C to +85°C and on-die ECC is named on the 5600MT/s sheet; the 6400MT/s sheet also names it 67. The datasheets give voltage and timing; the product pages do not 2.
5.Where it’s made
SimpleStart here
Kingston’s ValueRAM DDR5 part tables show chip organization, rank and DRAM density, but no DRAM maker 2345.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The part tables have the columns Part Number, Capacity, Chip Organization, Ranking, DRAM Density and Specs 2345. The sampled datasheets describe “eight 2G x 8-bit FBGA components” and name no maker 67. The 5600MT/s DIMM table lists two 32GB parts, one 2R at 16Gbit and one 1R at 32Gbit, and a 64GB part at 32Gbit 2.
6.What it’s compatible with
SimpleStart here
The product pages send buyers to Kingston’s compatibility search by system 2. The 6400MT/s pages are named “Clocked” and the datasheet says the module has a clock driver 47.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The pages carry a “Find compatible memory” panel and a PC Scanner link 2. The pages checked for this guide do not state which processors or chipsets the 6400MT/s clocked modules require, and give no EXPO or XMP profile information 45. The 6400MT/s datasheet describes “JEDEC standard latency DDR5-6400 timing of 52-52-52 at 1.1V” 7.
7.Official pricing
SimpleStart here
The product pages show Buy buttons but state no price 23.
Deep diveThe technical detail
No ValueRAM DDR5 page or datasheet checked states a price or recommended price 234567.
9.Where this family sits in the lineup
SimpleStart here
Kingston’s hub lists seven ValueRAM products: four DDR5 and three DDR4 1.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The hub lists DDR5 5600MT/s and 6400MT/s modules in DIMM and SODIMM form factors, and DDR4 2666MT/s and 3200MT/s modules 1.
10.Hidden in plain sight
SimpleStart here
Kingston’s Server Premier 5600MT/s ECC Unbuffered DIMM table names the DRAM maker for every part listed; the ValueRAM DDR5 tables do not 92.
Deep diveThe technical detail
The Server Premier 5600MT/s ECC Unbuffered DIMM table has columns for DRAM MFR, Die Revision and Component Control, filled with Micron or Hynix and a lock level for each part 9. The ValueRAM 5600MT/s Non-ECC Unbuffered DIMM table has Chip Organization, Ranking and DRAM Density and none of those three columns 2. Both tables are Kingston part-number tables on the same site; Kingston does not say why the ValueRAM ones omit the maker 92. Separately, all four ValueRAM DDR5 page headings carry an unrendered template tag, “{{Footnote.A65242}}”, after the speed 2345.
