Do I need to know about AI to run these sessions?
No. The sessions are designed so you learn alongside your child. The Parent Notes on each session page tell you exactly what concept is being taught and how to talk about it.
What device do we need?
Any device with a browser โ laptop, tablet, or phone. A laptop or tablet is easiest because you can sit side by side. The child should not use the device alone.
Which AI tool should we use?
ChatGPT (chatgpt.com โ no login needed for basic use) or Claude (claude.ai). Use your own account. Never create an account in your child's name.
What if my child asks something I can't answer?
Say 'I don't know โ let's find out together' and look it up. You don't need to be an expert. Modelling 'I don't know, let's check' is one of the most valuable things you can show your child.
Can we do more than 2 sessions a week?
You can, but we don't recommend it. The gap between sessions gives the ideas time to settle. Children often bring up things from the last session a few days later โ that's the learning working.
What if my child loses interest mid-session?
Stop. Forced learning doesn't work. Come back next week. The sessions are designed to be genuinely interesting, but children have off days. No session is mandatory.
Is this suitable for children with learning differences?
The practical, hands-on format works well for many children with learning differences. The sessions are shorter than a typical school class, have no writing requirements, and produce visible outputs. If your child has specific needs, adapt the session time and format as you see fit.
What happens after all 8 Starter sessions?
AI Explorer (16 sessions, 2 months) continues the journey. Then AI Builder (3 months) for older children. And AI Monthly keeps things fresh with new themes.
