๐ญ Character Voice
Make two characters sound completely different.
๐ฏ Today's goal: Your child learns that every character has a unique voice โ and practices the skill of writing in distinct voices.
๐ฅ Warm Up
Warm Up
Think of two very different people you know. How do they speak differently?
"That difference โ in word choice, rhythm, what they say and don't say โ is what makes characters real."
๐ค The Activity
Main Activity
๐ Type this exactly
Create two characters who are completely different from each other. For each one: give me their name, a one-sentence description, and then a paragraph they might say when they are angry about the same thing โ being stuck in traffic. They should sound nothing alike.

Now write a short conversation between these two characters. They have just met for the first time. They disagree on something small. Make it clear which one is speaking at every line โ without using dialogue tags ('she said', 'he replied').
๐ Type this exactly
Take one of those characters and write them saying 'I love you' in three different situations: to their child, to a dog, to a rival. Same words, completely different meaning.
๐งฉ The Twist
Go Deeper
๐ Type this exactly
What is the most common mistake writers make when they try to write dialogue โ the thing that makes it sound fake?
Ask: does this mistake appear in any book your child has read recently?
๐ก๏ธ Safety Moment
“AI is a tool, not a friend”
Today AI wrote two characters with distinct voices. But it does not know what it feels like to be either of them. You do. The emotional truth in character voice comes from the writer's own understanding of human feeling.
