Fintech Product Guides
Nineteen guides, each taking one product from nothing to live. Find the right one by what you are trying to build rather than by what it is called.

Not sure whose rules apply? Who Regulates What → maps every guide to its regulator, including the ones answering to two at once.
Regulatory Changelog → — every dated change behind these guides, including nine that have not happened yet.
Nineteen guides, each taking one product from nothing to live. This page is for finding the right one.
It is organised by what you are trying to do rather than by product name, because a reader who already knows the product name does not need a front door — they need the grid, which is further down.
Every guide follows the same shape: eight steps, the options at each one, what goes in and what comes out, what it costs, and what breaks. Each one names the regulator whose rules govern it and dates every claim. Where something is genuinely unsettled the page says so rather than inventing a position — there is one draft in the set and it is labelled as one.
Three questions worth answering before you pick one:
| Question | Why it decides which guide |
|---|---|
| Are you regulated, or building for someone who is? | Almost every guide has a different shape depending on which side of that line you sit |
| Are you holding money at any point? | Holding funds, even briefly, changes what licence you need. See Licensing and Access |
| Do you need the data, or the decision? | Several guides exist because teams built the first when they needed the second |
If you do not yet have the keys for any of this, start at Getting Access — which APIs are self-serve today, which need a sales call, and which are gated behind a licence.
Verify a person, on a live call, as a regulated entity
Read and validate the documents they send
Make the identity number stop existing once you are done
Verify a business rather than a person
Build on the UPI rails yourself
Collect the same amount again, on a mandate
Move it across a border
Take it off a piece of paper
Let software initiate it — a draft, nothing is settled
Credit at the point of purchase
Lend alongside a bank, sharing the risk
Decide who to lend to without a bureau file
Lend against a receivable
Get it back when they stop paying
Consent-based access to their accounts
A business view across its own accounts
Cover, inside someone else’s checkout
Investment advice, or execution — not both
All 19, by guide number. The list is derived from the files, so a new guide appears here the day it is written.
The nine modules and nine build sheets underneath these guides.
Which APIs you can sign up for today.
Which licence you need to operate at all.
Fifteen lessons through the modules, then these guides.
These guides are written to be built from and are not specifications. Indian financial regulation changes by notification, sometimes between one of these sessions and the next. Every page dates its claims and names its sources; check them before you rely on anything. Nothing here is legal advice.
This page is a route map rather than a source of claims. Each guide it points at carries its own dated, typed sources.
Checked September 2026. The guide list is derived from the files; the routing is a judgement recorded in gen_products_index.py.
Opens your assistant with this page as the source, and a question rather than a summary. It will ask what you are building before it answers.
Nothing is sent from here. The link carries only this page’s title and address.
